Secret doors, peacocks and spring lambs.

We went on a lovely walk around Newark Park,  a quirky National Trust property in Gloucestershire. We have previously already visited another National Trust property this year – Tyntesfield for an Easter Egg hunt.  The weather looked rainy but, armed with a picnic, raincoat and a pair of wellies, we decided to go anyway. If we waited for a dry day we could be waiting a long time at the moment!

We had such a lovely time I thought I would share some of the wonderful things we saw on our walk…

A beautiful peacock…

Overgrown arches…

A secret door…

An ivy covered head – I would really love one of these in my garden!

Another secret door…

Late spring daffodils…

A beautiful window frame…

Spring lambs…

A Green Man ….

Lots of hidden pathways….

In all, a very enjoyable day out!

  4. Looks like a perfect place to visit in spring. And yes, who wouldn’t want an ivy covered head in their garden!
